Lexington Comair Crash Supplemental: "The Company," Narcotics & Political Corruption in Lexington and Environs in the '90s

David P. Beiter at the Marijuana Library has compliled an inventory of narcotics smuggling, drug-dealing politicians and law enforcement officials in Kentucky in the 1990s. This is an excerpt, dealing largely with Lexington and environs, of a comprehensive survey. See David Beiter's site for more.

Entries like this are common: "Frankfort State Police arrested nine criminals who were accused of importing crack from New York City. The operation was run from an apartment complex next to the State Police Headquarters. This gang supposedly supplied most of the crack in Lexington. ... "

Sally Denton's Bluegrass Conspiracy should have been a blow to The Company, routed the deep corruption in the political establishment of the commonwealth, but it has been completely ignored by the Kentucky justice system and press. Denton only reported on a small corner of the corruption, the Lexington scene (with Adnan Khashoggi at its core) and the so-called "Company" still thrives in horse country.

Small-time marijunana growers receive stiff prison sentences, while the officials who are behind the scourge of heroin, cocaine and the gamut of hard drugs RUN THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY unperturbed.

The latest wrinkle is an influx of amphetamines spreading across Kentucky from west to east, originating in California. The CIA-driven Company runs the state these days – a confederacy of "patriotic" dunces, and Kentuckians actually buy the vacant rhetoric on gay marriage, etc., and vote these lunatics into office.

Obviously something must be done about the educational system down there. "This is soap – USE it. This is toilet paper – USE it ... "

61100, Whitley City, KY, The Wayne County Outlook, 861126, p 18; from The Commonwealth Journal. William C "Buddy" Wolk, 56, of Naples, FL, died of a barbiturate overdose in an accidental spill at Herbert W "Butch" Spencer's drug lab. Formerly it was believed that he had died of a heart attack. Rumors have it that he was dragged behind a pickup truck (Dallas Hammond, personal communication) altho Alberta Spencer reportedly contacted the coroner. The DEA raid of 860306 was the largest in its history. In Minneapolis, MN, indictments in a major drug and bookmaking ring were opened in August 86: William C "Buddy" Wolk, unindicted co-conspirator; Mary Louise Wolk, former wife; John Joseph Mussehl, St Paul, MN; Gary Evans Lundgren, Naples, FL; Allan Richard Blake[ney], Naples, FL; Charles Lee Miller, Omaha, NB; James Thomas Mussehl, St Paul, MN; Raymond Edward Gaier, FL & MN, unindicted co-conspirator, deceased of drug overdose in 84.

861216, Whitley City, KY, KET. The Butch Spencer drug lab is said to have had $1 million in drugs and $40 million in chemicals at the time of the bust.

861212, London, KY, KET, WLEX. Gene Allen, Judge-Executive of Morgan County, Kentucky is sentenced to 5 years for conspiracy to murder. Gerald Griggs, Kentucky State Police, had his sentencing delayed. Titus Frederick, coal baron, was let off in return for testifying against Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell, Ky. State Police Commissioner, in his trial for conspiracy to distribute illegal drugs.

861229. London, KY, The Wayne County Outlook, 870108, p14; from The McCreary County Record. The Government rested its case against Herbert "Butch" Spencer, represented by Julius Echeles of Chicago and Warren Scoville of London, KY. The Judge is Eugene Siler, Jr. Jane Graham, Assistant US Attorney, is prosecutor. Spencer claimed that he had leased a walled off section of his garage to Roy Creighton Blakeney and William Charles "Buddy" Wolk, but there was no agreement to manufacture methamphetamine. A small amount of methamphetamine and a walkie-talkie tuned to a unit in the lab were found in Spencer's house. Unfortunately, they were found in an area not covered by the search warrant. Even more unfortunately, this was before The Supreme Court had declared that a search warrant is unnecessary for police acting in "good faith".

861230?, London, KY, The Wayne County Outlook, Jan 15, 1987, p18; from The Commonwealth- Journal. Herbert "Butch" Spencer was found guilty after 57 minutes of deliberation. Another federal drug trial for Spencer is scheduled for 27 Jan as well as two civil proceedings. On 861219 Spencer was propositioned to intimidate a juror for $20,000 (5K$ down & 15K$ later) by Billy Rollin Phillips (46), of Clay County. Spencer met with Judge Siler, prosecutor Jane Graham, and DEA agent James Malone. Phillips was arrested 30 Dec.

870105, London, KY. In the Butch Spencer trial, Government witnesses claim that Spencer bought 50 pounds of cocaine in 1980 and hundreds of pounds of marijuana from 80 to 83. And then they waited for 3 years to bust him for crank?!

870108, London, KY. Butch Spencer is convicted in methamphetamine production case. The methamphetamine confiscated was valued at 1 megabuck and there was another 40 megabux worth of chemicals. Spencer is to be sentenced on 9 Feb. Max sentence = (15 years + 125 kilobux)*4. The Judge is Eugene Siler, Jr. Spencer's claim of leasing his garage for a plastics operation was not believed.

870112, Lexington, KY, KET\WLEX. Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell, Kentucky State Police Commissioner, and Roger Benton, Morgan County, Kentucky, Sheriff, are on trial. Houston McNeal, two years a undercover FBI agent, testified that he had made payments of $5000 a month to Campbell, Benton, and Titus Frederick for landing rights at the West Liberty, KY, airport. m(It is unclear if this was each or total.)

870114, Lexington, KY, WBKY, KET, WLKY(?). In the Kentucky State Police Commissioner Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell trial, Titus Frederick, coal baron and marijuana manufacturer testified that in a meeting at Frederick's house in 1984, three-time Morgan County Kentucky Judge-Executive Gene Allen and Marion Campbell had asked him for contacts in the marijuana and cocaine business. Lester Burns, Jr, former Kentucky State Senator, former Kentucky State Police Trooper, former attorney (now disbarred) bankrolled the operation, and Marion Campbell was in charge of security at the Morgan County airport. Their business grossed about 3/4 of a million dollars a week in cocaine. Houston McNeal, undercover Virginia FBI investigator, testified that Campbell said that he was receiving payments from undercover agents. It is unclear whether Campbell thought that they were FBI agents or drug dealers. Or both.

870115, Lexington, KY, WEKU, KET\WLEX In the Kentucky State Police Commissioner Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell trial, Steve Allen, son of the Morgan County Judge-Executive, testified that he saw a $90,000 cocaine sale in November 85 at the house of his father, Morgan County, Kentucky, Judge-Executive Gene Allen. In this transaction, Gene Allen was paid his share plus a share to pass along to Marion Campbell. Gene Allen, Morgan County, Kentucky, Judge-Executive and convicted murder conspirator, testified that he has known Marion Campbell for 25 years and Morgan County Sheriff Roger Benton all of his life. He met several times in late 1983 with Marion Campbell, Titus Frederick, and Lester Burns, Jr to import cocaine from Okalachee, FL. Campbell was said to want the money for his retirement fund. Titus Frederick testified that Gene Allen and Marion Campbell had pushed him to find a cocaine connection.

870116, Lexington, KY, KET\WLKY, 10:07PM. In the Kentucky State Police Commissioner, Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell trial, Gene Allen, former Morgan County, Kentucky Judge-Executive who has been convicted of conspiracy to murder, was cross examined. He has changed his story because he got religion in jail. In his trial in September 86 he claimed that he and Campbell were running their own investigation of drug corruption, without telling anyone else and keeping no records of what they had discovered. He passed money to Campbell once by laying an envelope full of money on the dash of Campbell's truck, and once on the truck seat, but never actually in Campbell's hand.

870123, Lexington, KY, WBKY. In the Kentucky State Police Commissioner, Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell trial, Jack Evans, Kentucky State Police, testified that he had talked with Campbell thrice about the trial, and got the idea (but was never told openly) that Campbell wanted him to perjure.

870126, Lexington, KY, KET\WTVQ. In the Kentucky State Police Commissioner, Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell & Sheriff Roger Benton trial, Louie di Falais, US Attorney & apparently part of the "Operation Leviticus" investigation, testified that in two years of investigation of Marion Campbell, Campbell gave no indications of ever conducting his own investigation. The Chief of Police of West Liberty, the Morgan County Seat, said that he knew nothing of the two years of drug traffic thru the West
Liberty airport. Roger Benton, Sheriff of Morgan County, Kentucky, has a previous conviction for bootlegging.

870127, Lexington, KY, WBKY. In the Kentucky State Police Commissioner, Captain Marion "Butch Campbell & Morgan County Kentucky Sheriff Roger Benton trial, Roger Benton testified that he went along with the drug trafficking in hopes to make some arrests and stop the drug operations.

870204, Lexington, KY, KET\WKYT. Morgan County Kentucky Sheriff Roger Benton says that he will appeal his conviction on drug trafficking charges on grounds that his trial should have had nothing to do with the trial of Marion "Butch" Campbell. He obviously thinks that Campbell will be found guilty. This came after one verdict was reached but not announced.

870205, Lexington, KY, WLAP (Lexington, KY), 2PM. Roger Benton, Sheriff of Morgan County, KY, is found guilty on all counts, three counts of extortion and two of drug trafficking conspiracy. He faces a maximum sentence of 80 years.

870206, Lexington, KY, WLAP. Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell, Kentucky State Police Commissioner, is acquitted on four counts of extortion and given a mistrial on one count of conspiracy to traffic in marijuana and cocaine.– KY, Comment on Kentucky, KET. Three reasons are given for Kentucky State Police Commissioner, Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell's acquittal on charges of extortion and drug trafficking. 1) Gene Allen, Morgan County Judge-Executive changed his story from his trial where he was convicted of conspiracy to murder. Formerly, he had said under oath that Campbell was conducting his own investigation. The new story is that they were indeed trafficking in cocaine. 2) Allen said that on four occasions that he gave payoff money to Campbell, but never directly. Allen was the only solid witness against Campbell on this, but he is a self-confessed perjurer. 3) In a taped meeting with an FBI informant, Campbell thanked him for "information." The prosecution said that this was code word for protection money; the defense said that this was just normal information. The FBI never actually got Campbell on tape accepting payoff money. The jury was leaning towards acquittal on the drug trafficking conspiracy charges, with at least two holdouts. Prosecutor Arehart wants a retrial. I'm sure that none of the jurors would have been in the least bit concerned about their personal safety after finding the State Police Commissioner guilty of drug trafficking!

870200, KY. There are various news reports of a retrial for Kentucky State Police Commissioner, Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell on charges of trafficking in cocaine and marijuana, but no date was given.

870313, Lexington, KY, Various radio reports. Kentucky State Police Commissioner, Captain Marion "Butch" Campbell is scheduled for retrial on 11 May 87 for conspiracy to traffic in cocaine and marijuana. But 11 May 87 will come and go with absolutely no mention on any newscast that a Butch Campbell had ever existed. Morgan County Kentucky Sheriff Roger Benton is denied a retrial on his conviction for extortion and conspiracy to distribute

870318, Whitley City, KY, McCreary County Record, p1. Butch Spencer is tried again on drug charges. Garrett, a drug dealer turned DEA informant, says that he bought one kilo of cocaine from Spencer for $45,000.

870322, Richmond?, KY, WBKY, 11PM. Kentucky State Police crime lab director Glen Morgan Baxter is accused of falsifying hundreds of tests, including his own qualifications.

870326, Lexington, KY, KET. Morgan County, Kentucky, Sheriff Roger Benton is sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of $10,000 on three counts of extortion and two counts of conspiracy to traffic in illegal drugs.

870331, Louisville, KY, KET. Jeffrey Miles of 2401 Coolridge Ave, Okalona, age 24 or 25, is shot and killed by Louisville cop, John Rucker (Rutger) in a raid on Miles' home. Miles' crime was to be living in an apartment inhabited two years ago by a suspected drug dealer. (The correct address was available in the phone directory.) The murderer was sentenced to paid leave and consultation with the chaplain.

870429, Jeffersontown (Louisville), KY, WHAS. Policeman John Rutger is indicted for second degree manslaughter and suspended from the police department. This is for "accidentally" shooting Jeffrey Miles for the crime of living in an apartment inhabited two years ago by a suspected drug dealer. See 870331.

870515, Somerset, KY, WBKY. Lester Burns, Jr., former Kentucky State Senator, former Kentucky State Police, former attorney, is sentenced to 8 years in prison; 4 each for receiving stolen money from Epperson's Acker robbery/murder, and conspiracy to defraud insurer. Burns will be eligible for parole in 2 years. See 860324, 860716, 861113, 861200, 861231, 870114.

870402, Breathitt Co, KY. James H Noble, Kentucky District Judge, Breathitt County, Kentucky, previously convicted of obstruction of justice for offering to lie in the witness stand for Lester Burns, Jr in a mail fraud trial, is temporarily disbarred. Judge Noble was sentenced to two years on the
obstruction of justice conviction.

871123, KY. Congressman Carroll Hubbard asks FBI to investigate the involvement of Henry Vance (Lexington bigwig recently convicted of supplying the gun used to kill the prosecutor in a drug case in Florida) in wholesale cocaine and marijuana trade in western Kentucky. Hubbard states that major drug smugglers are using local airports, including Bowling Green, KY. On 930416, Comment on Kentucky, Bonnie Kelly (the shooter) is the wife of Mike Kelly, Lexington cop.

881129, Lexington, KY, KET. Marvin Washington, Lexington Fayette County Kentucky police officer for the past eleven years, is arrested for armed robbery and possession of illegal drugs. 890308, WBKY, 11:05PM. Darrell Gibson, 32, arrested by FBI for distribution of cocaine was the target of a hit squad.

890231, Lexington, KY, WBKY, KNN. Fayette County Sheriff Lonas Taulbee resigns effective 14 April. He was convicted and sentenced to 5 years for theft and malfeasance. He is yet to be tried for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

890411, Lexington, KY, KNN. Fayette County Sheriff Lonas Taulbee, convicted for stealing $15,000 from the Sheriffs Department, will resign and rerun for election.

890505, Lexington, KY, WBKY, 3:15PM. Fayette County, KY, Sheriff Taulbee and 5 others including Arnold Freeman and Bobby Issacs have trial for conspiracy to plant cocaine in the vehicle of chief deputy Joe Albauh, postponed.

900615, Lexington, KY, WEKU. Lexington, Fayette Co, KY Sheriff Taulbee loses appeal on theft & malfeasance and is sentenced to 5 years.

00616, Nicholasville, KY, KNN. Danny Allen Murphy is charged with suffocating his wife in 85. Also on trial next month on Federal drug charges. His occupation is given as Lexington-Fayette County Police Officer.

900820, Lexington, KY, KET. Lexington Police Officer Dan Murphy is on trial for distribution of marijuana, and weapons charges. Judge Forrester will decide if the jury should see Murphy's Jessamine County fortress/plantation/home. The charges are worth 30 years.

900822, Lexington, KY, KET. Danny Allan Murphy, former Lexington Kentucky Police Officer is convicted on marijuana distribution and machine gun charges. He is yet to stand trial for murder in Jessamine County.

910924, Lexington, KY, KNN. Gregory Drake Wahl, a Fayette County Sheriff's Deputy, was arrested Monday for selling 1/4 pound of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school.

920724, KY, WFLW. Cops in Berea, Lexington, KSP & Feds divide $121K taken from the Columbian Detrick Rojas on 0411. $62,298 to Berea, $24,919 each to Lexington & KSP, and balance to Feds. Also Pulaski County was given $8000 of the $10000 for selling Ralph David Perkins's car.

930128, Lexington, KY, KET. Former Lexington Police Officer Danny Murphy has his charges of use of a machine gun while drug trafficking overturned in the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, OH. He still is in prison for murdering his wife. In a personal conversation with DPB at Rainbow 93, an individual volunteered that his brother-in-law was one of the fronts for Murphy, holding title to Murphy's estate in alternate years. Murphy beat the machine gun rap because the gun was in the attic and the pot was in a freezer in the basement, this being a sufficient distance that he could not be using his machine gun in perpetration of a drug crime.

930318, Lexington, KY, KET. Former Lexington, KY, police officer Danny Murphy is convicted of possession of a pistol while marijuana trafficking and sentenced to five years in prison. He was formerly acquitted of possession of a machine gun while engaged in his moonlight business. See 930128 & 910719 & 900822 & 900820 & 900816 & 900608.

930409, Lexington, KY, KET. Former (fired in 1979 for insubordination after 8 years of service) Lexington Police Officer Bill Canan is arrested by Federal Marshals on charges of drug trafficking and intimidation of a witness. Officer Canan allegedly bought 24 oz of cocaine and then threatened to kill
Robert Scott, his supplier turned Federal Witness, if he squealed. This is part of an investigation ongoing for 1.5 years. Police Chief Walsh vows that he is "finally gonna clean up the Good Ole Boy Network" [his words]. See 850912, 930716.

930416, Lexington, KY, WSEK. Ella Flynn, mother of Melanie Flynn who was disappeared under mysterious circumstances in 1977 claims police ineptitude & indifference. Mrs Flynn claims that she gave police many details of names, places, times, etc, which were ignored. She also claims that part of the case file was disappeared. Chief Walsh denies all these false allegations. This re-surfaced upon the arrest of Bill Canan former Lexington
Police Officer on cocaine trafficking charges. Rumors at the time of Melanie Flynn's disappearance were that she knew too much about the Lexington Police drug trafficking. See 850912, 870112, 871123, 890225, 900820, 930409, Sally Denton, The Bluegrass Conspiracy, Doubleday, 1990.

930421, Lexington, KY, KET. Former Lexington Kentucky Police Officer Bill Canan is indicted on 14 counts. Charges include drug possession and distribution in '88, possession of a fake DEA ID, and possession of a pen gun and machine gun. His lawyer is Fred Peters. One of the character witnesses at the bail hearing was the same as for Danny Murphy. (See 900608, 900816, 900820, 900822, 910719, 930128, 930318). The Judge had enuf sense not to pay any attention to him this time. Officer Canan is ajudged to be a danger to the community and an escape risk.

930716, Lexington, KY, KET. Former Lexington Police Officer and accused cocaine trafficker Bill Canan has his 13 counts (didn't it used to be 14 counts?) dropped to 6 counts. Apparently he is still charged with threatening to kill a confidential informant. See 850912, 930409

930824, Frankfort, KY, KNN. Frankfort State Police arrested nine criminals who were accused of importing crack from New York City. The operation was run from an apartment complex next to the State Police Headquarters. This gang supposedly supplied most of the crack in Lexington.

931019, London, KY, WSEK. Former Lexington, KY, Police Officer Bill Canan's trial started on 12 Oct. Today he took the witness stand and swore that he had never engaged in the trafficking of cocaine!! More to come, I expect. See 930409, 930716. He was eventually convicted on the cocaine trafficking and witness intimidation charges & not guilty on the weapons charge.

931216, Lexington, KY, WSEK. Lexington Police Officer Bill Canan has his convictions on cocaine trafficking, intimidation of witnesses, and carrying a false DEA badge upheld.

940104, Lexington, KY, KET. Horrace Inman, 15 year veteran of the Lexington Police Force, is charged with felony possession of cocaine. The Police Department has no further comment.

Bush Administration Takes Control of Scholars for 911 Truth Domains

"Recent tumultuous events within the beleaguered truth movement have taken a rather ominous turn as the Intellectual Property Attorney Alex Floum tries on his legal two-step to confuse the masses. With a sleight of hand a to delight any Houdini, Alex Floum has handed off his dirty gains to a 10 year cohort and admitted government agent Fred Burks. The job of an attorney is never over as representatives of the Bush administration take control of Scholars for 911 Truth domains and forums.

Fred Burks

"We have uncovered that this twin towers of power each own massive networks of new age and other donation rich web farms established to feed a golden egg distribution center controlled by none other than Alex Floum and Fred Burks. (1) The sole concentration in these domain propositions this self-appointed ad-hoc posse has is on the domain and the intellectual property and nothing to do with truth. In fact the bottom line on any of their alternatives includes yearlong links, something only a professional in SEO websites cares about. Bringing hits and donations. That is one of their core businesses to leach out money and people who might need watching from the sites that Fred Burks and Alex Floum run... "
PS: A transparent psyop ... Fred Burks runs, and lists himself as a 9/11 dissident ... with ALBERT STUBBLEBINE, CURT WELDON, LOUIS FREEH, MAX CLELAND, other ultra-cons and intelligence operatives posing as rebels, blowing smoke in our disbelieving eyes ...

Mockingbird vs. Mockingbird

A false-dialectical farce in two movements ...

1.) Salim Muwakkil, a senior editor of IN THESE TIMES, takes aim at David Ray Griffin, A.N. Whitehead fan

2.) Salim Muwakkil from George Soros' Open Society Institute and the "mainstream" Dopa programming system

December 21, 2005

What’s the 411 on 9/11?
By Salim Muwakkil

"The movement caught my attention when I saw Dr. David Ray Griffin speaking at the University of Wisconsin at Madison on C-SPAN earlier this year. Before retiring last year, Griffin was emeritus professor of Philosophy of Religion at the Claremont School of Theology in California. He has written several well-regarded books on religion and spirituality, co-founded the Center for Process Studies and is considered one of the nation’s foremost theologians. I am familiar with his work and regard him as a wise writer on the role of spirituality in society.

"So, it was shocking to see him pushing a radical conspiracy theory about 9/11 on C-SPAN. His 2004 book, The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11, has become the manifesto of this movement. At the University of Wisconsin, this distinguished academic told students at Bascom Hall that 'there is no escape from the frightful conclusion that 9/11 was engineered by the Bush administration and its Pentagon.' ...

"Progressive journalists have an added burden not to be seen as fodder for conspiracists. Sometimes they need a little help. Groups like Political Research Associates (PRA), based in Somerville, Massachusetts, exist to make sure progressives are not duped by conspiracists of any stripe. 'The antidote to conspiracism is Power Structure Research based on some form of institutional, systemic or structural analysis that examines race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, class and other factors that are used to create inequality and oppression,' the PRA explained in a preface to its review of Griffin’s The New Pearl Harbor.

Chip "Ace" Berlet

"The reviewer was Chip Berlet, a senior analyst at the PRA. In an interview with Amy Goodman on 'Democracy Now!,' Berlet agreed with Griffin that 'there are a number of unanswered questions' regarding 9/11, but assessed Griffin’s work as 'a lot of … armchair guesswork by people who haven’t done their homework.' Berlet noted his surprise at this because Griffin’s 'previous work has been stellar. He’s one of the singular most important religious philosophers in America. I don’t understand this lapse.'

"Berlet isn’t alone in wondering what happened to Griffin. In These Times Contributing Editor Terry Allen, a former editor at Amnesty International, is
similarly unimpressed. 'I respect Griffin, but he’s just wrong on his theories,' she says. Allen spent two months assessing the major conspiracy theories concerning 9/11 and she has concluded there is not much to any of them—especially Griffin’s. 'I found plausible explanations for most of the things he disputes. I think part of it is that he’s a theologian who operates on faith,' says Allen.

"A lack of faith in the Bush administration, as well as its pathological aversion to transparency, are what fuels the ongoing skepticism about the official 9/11 story. Unfortunately, debunking conspiracy theories is unlikely to change that."

Salim Muwakkil

"Salim Muwakkil is a senior editor of In These Times, where he has worked since 1983, and an op-ed columnist for the Chicago Tribune. Is David Ray Griffin for Real? - Notes on Global Theology, the Falk Question, Cults & Howard Ahmanson

In response to an Angie's classic article on the "creepy sides" of the 9/11 truth movement – manifest particularly in representations of one-world governance by religious and cultic proponents in the leadership of the movement – David Ray Griffin writes:

"At the same time as the case is being made for the necessity and possibility of global government, people in various religious and philosophical traditions need to be interpreting those traditions, probably through a combination of retrieval and reformation, so as to reveal and emphasize their support for this transition to world unity ... My major project at present is, in fact, to develop a theology for a new world order ... "]

Angie wasn't appeased by facile explanations, and noted that Griffin's "new order theology" amounted to an eclectic cobbling together of religious concepts, that a Rockefeller study group had inspired Griffin's advocacy of "normative globalism":

" ... the Rockefellers have played a role in re-engineering religion.... It is interesting to learn from your reply that it was actually during your five-week Bellagio-Rockefeller Study Center stay in the early 90’s that you first developed your conviction that a new global structure is a necessity ..."

Princeton's Richard A. Falk wrote a foreword to Griffin's The New Pearl Harbor, published by Interlink – a trenchant piece of investigative journalism that attacks the very people who have supported and nurtured Griffin his entire adult life?

Dr. Falk sits on the board of The Nation ... the ranking Mockingbird state propaganda outlet for the programmed left. That alone rules him out as a credible authority ... If he can't perceive the shortcomings of The Nation, its role in molding "progressive" opinions then his qualifications are irrelevant – he has no business telling the left what to think. By the same token, if Griffin invites a Nation board member to write the foreword to a book on 9/11, then he has no grasp of media control and infiltration and therefore is NOT the authority on fascism and the intelligence sector that he pretends to be.

Dr. Falk, who is also a Council of Foreign Relations member, held a joint appointment in the Woodrow Wilson School and the Department of Politics between 1961 and 2001. His academic writing includes The End of World Order, The Status of Law in International Society, Human Rights and State Sovereignty, The Promise of World Order, Toward a New Global Politics, and
Emerging Global Village: A Post-Westphalian Perspective. Dr. Falk is currently a Visiting Distinguished Professor in Global and International Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Angie found Falk's involvement in the World Order Models Project "creepy," and in response, Griffin took a nonsensical position:

"With regard to [Angie's] statement that Richard 'has worked on new world order projects for the CFR, like the World Order Models Project, [Falk reports]: 'I did have a MARGINAL relationship to the 1980s Project, which was trying to project a set of future conditions in world affairs, and was headed by Princeton colleague, Richard Ullman. It was a rather benign undertaking, and had NOTHING to do with the world order models project.'”

Dr. Falk's sentence is a slippery non sequitar. "I did have a marginal relationship to the 1980s Project" – actually, Dr. Falk was RESEARCH DIRECTOR of the North American team in the World Order Models Project – "[but] had NOTHING to do with the world order models project." A Rovian gloss? This ... from the leadership of a TRUTH movement? Griffin:
September 13, 2004

Dear Angie,

"... I must confess that, in the eyes of God, I am probably indeed a pretty bad guy. But I was somewhat surprised by the reasons you gave for warning really pure 9/11 truth-seekers to be wary of me."

An official, global theology that coincides with a global state would make anyone wary, but there are other reasons to ask hard questions of Dr. Griffin.

A former research partner of mine assembled this background on Claremont and Griffin a couple of years ago:

Professor of Philosophy of Religion and Theology; Professor of Religion, Claremont Graduate University

B.A., Northwest Christian College; M.A., University of Oregon; Ph.D., Claremont Graduate School

Dr. Griffin is an advocate of process theology and has given special attention to Christology, the problem of evil, science and theology, and ecology and religion. He has been developing a "constructive postmodern theology," which is manifest in his many books. The wider implications of this position for intellectual, social, and global problems are expressed in the SUNY Series in Constructive Postmodern Thought, which he edits. His most recent book is entitled Reenchantment without Supernaturalism: A Process Philosophy of Religion (Cornell UP, 2001).

The Center for Process Studies, co-founded by John B. Cobb, Jr. and David Ray Griffin in 1973, is oriented to the needs of scholars and students. The Process and Faith program, directed by William A. Beardslee, addresses themes of process theology to pastors, religious educators, and theologically-interested laity. The Center for a Postmodern World, founded by David Ray Griffin in 1987, relates the process worldview to many of the concerns of non-academic and secular audiences.

The Claremont Colleges, currently five, small, independent colleges and two graduate institutions. They are (in order of founding): Pomona College (1887), The Claremont Graduate University (1925), Scripps (1926), Claremont McKenna College (1946), Harvey Mudd College (1955), Pitzer College (1963), and the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences (1997).

"The assets of The Claremont Colleges total more than $3 billion, including substantial endowments in all of the colleges, over 175 buildings, and 550 acres of land˜320 now occupied and 230 reserved for colleges and professional schools that may be founded in the future."

Where did the huge endowment come from? Who pays the salaries, publishes the books, and controls the output of the lectures and research conducted? To find this out--to follow the money – always look at the Board of Trustees; they handle the money questions. See if any names stand out. Look especially for connections to capital streams that could involve money-laundering to finance the institution. What you find is a "network." Money is washed by a team that usually work together toward a purpose without knowing what the purpose is. It is operated like an intelligence operation on a need-to-know basis. The goal is to find money for "worthy causes," without asking tough questions like:

"Where is the money coming from?"

• Jonathan Dolgen, Viacom Entertainment

• Donald R. DesCombes, Chairman PFF Bank in Pomona
• Charlene R. Jackson, President of HLS Financial
Services in Houston.
• Henry Hwang, Chairman of Rock-Asia Capital

Demonstrators at Claremont

That's just for starters. What's interesting is that there's no history given at this website. For that you have to dig further.

James Blaisdell's vision gave rise to the consortium of educational institutions known as The Claremont Colleges. The Claremont Consortium was officially born on October 14, 1925, when Robert J. Bernard, the assistant to President Blaisdell at Pomona College, filed in Sacramento the articles of incorporation for The Claremont Colleges. This day was especially chosen because it also marked the 38th anniversary of the founding of Pomona College, the first of several allied colleges that would be established in Claremont. Blaisdell thereby created not only an alliance that is now widely recognized as one of the nation's greatest centers of liberal arts education, but also a central coordinating agency for the consortium - an organization known today as the Claremont University Consortium....

To really understand where Claremont's money comes from, you have to go back to the creation of America's oil empire in the Middle East by the FDR administration, with the help of California oil men.

This is very hard work to understand what happened and how what happened then is driving what is happening now. But it's mostly about money--money that supports all these "worthy" goals we established so long ago.

"Prominent California philanthropist Howard F. Ahmanson Jr., who has given Rushdoony's operations more than $700,000 over the years.... An heir of the Home Savings bank fortune, Ahmanson has also been an important donor to numerous other groups, including the CLAREMONT Institute, the Seattle-based Discovery Institute and--just to show how complicated life gets--the Reason Foundation, the publisher of this magazine (for projects not associated with its publication). ... "

Compare Howard Ahmanson's nationalistic ideal with David Ray Griffin's global governmental-theological state:

"Ahmanson is a California millionaire who uses his trust fund to finance right-wing Christian, anti-gay, anti-evolution groups and politicians. He was previously associated with Christian Reconstructionism, which advocates a BIBLICALLY-BASED GOVERNMENT for the U.S. (Neither Ahmanson nor his
philanthropic endeavors have their own websites. Make of that what you will.)"

When you think of Ahmanson, think Diebold, ES&S, Disney and (yes) the CFR. (Disney/ABC director John Bryson is also on the board of the H.F. Ahmanson & Co. Ahmanson holds a majority stake in ES&S, invested in Diebold. He is a CFR heavy-weight. He was also instrumental in the founding of the ultra-con Council for National Policy.)

PS: Griffin's publisher Interlink ties to CIA Mockingbird John Train's ongoing war on the left. This will be the topic of a pending note on DGR. In general, I have moved on from 9/11 because the cointel-dupe factor is extreme in the movement, and little can be done because the channels of communication are in a state of chaos as a result. Hard-line factionalism makes argumentation of objective, unbiased research and peer review impossible. Turmoil is not an ideal condition for pursuing truth, unfortunately, but the place to start is with the leadership, sorting out the Mockingbirds from the legitimate researchers, then perhaps the flames will dissipate and real progress can be made. But it's certain that the 9/11 record will begin to correct itself it the cult programmers are ousted from the Temple of Truth.

The Haditha Doctor and The Media Dissemblers

"Try weaning Bush supporters from the obvious lies that are the basis of this administration, and they will call you every name in the book." Paul Craig Roberts

The Haditha Doctor - Walid al-Obeidi

On 2 June 2006, published an unsigned, scurrilous article entitled Questions Arise About Haditha Doctor - Wahid al-Obeidi - Central
Figure In "Massacre" Case.

This article questioned the account "Dr. Wahid al-Obeidi" had given about being arrested and beaten in Haditha in October 2005. The article then said, “Wahid is associated with the pro-terrorist Brussels Tribunal, a European-based anti-American group which counts among its members Saddam's favorite film maker Scott Ritter and Saddam's defense attorney Ramsey
Pipeline News has confused and then misused their facts. The name of the Director of the Haditha Hospital is Dr. Walid al-Obeidi. Dr. Walid al-Obeidi is not a member of the BRussells Tribunal. It is Dr. Abdul Wahab Al Obeidi, member of “Freedom Voice Society for Human Rights,” who is on the advisory committee of the Brussells Tribunal.

Why is the (misnamed) Dr. Walid al-Obeidi being slandered? He saw the bullets in the bodies from the Haditha massacre, thus opening up the case against American troops.

Ridley Scott is indeed a film-maker. Is PipeLineNews by any chance confusing him with Scott Ritter, who is a former UN weapons inspector and a critic of the US foreign policy in the Middle East? Ramsey Clark has recently written a statement saying that "the case for impeachment is clear beyond question.” Neither Scott Ritter nor Ramsey Clark are members of the BRussells Tribunal.

PipeLineNews has a further story, which it calls “The Haditha Misinformation Dump,” at The Contra Costa Times Watch, which they call their “side project.” This site has links to not only PipeLineNews but also the Middle East Forum, Daniel Pipes and Militant Islam Monitor.
A recent New York Times article gave details of the most recent understanding of the Haditha murders. It was reported by John M. Broder, David S. Cloud, John Kifner, Carolyn Marshall, Eric Schmitt and Thom Shanker. It was written by Mr. Broder. See: Contradictions Cloud Inquiry Into 24 Iraqi Deaths

The Chiarelli report on Haditha is complete. We await the findings.

A recent US poll shows that “ nearly one in three of the respondents (32%) said they believe such an incident (Haditha) was a "common one" in that war.
Some 57% called it an "isolated incident" and 11% said they are "not sure." This poll shows what a good job the US corporate media blackout and Media Dissemblers are doing in America – and also shows that, unfortunately, not enough people are reading educated, informative stories on the web.

And the BRussells Tribunal?

The BRussells Tribunal

The BRussells Tribunal initiated The World Tribunal on Iraq. The final meeting of the World Tribunal, Iraq, was in Turkey in 2005. “The first task of the tribunal is to investigate the crimes committed by the US government in launching the Iraq war.”1 The papers given in Istanbul (2005) maintained a very high quality. These papers, and the final declaration of the Jury of Conscience in Istanbul (2005), read by Arundhati Roy, Spokesperson of the Jury of Conscience, can be read here.

Who were / are some of the members of the BRussells Tribunal? In addition to many esteemed Iraqis: two former UN Assistant Secretary Generals; two Nobel Prize winners; seven internationally known writers; human rights and humanitarian lawyers, professors, scientists, journalists and others. Have a look at the full list of members.

What is the BRussells Tribunal now focusing upon? 225 health officials have been murdered in Iraq. There is a “Solidarity call with the plight of Iraqi health workers.” 190 academics have been murdered. There is a call for action to “Save Iraq’s Academics.” You can read more detail about the plight of the Iraqi academics in The Jalilli Report.

Following is the story of an incestuous group and the foundations which collude with them.

The Middle East Forum Family

Noble words, like “democracy”, "liberation", “freedom”, “reform” have been emptied of their true meaning and refilled by the enemies of these concepts.
Their counterfeits dominate the news. John Pilger, 'War by Media.'

Daniel Pipes

The Middle East Forum is registered under the name Daniel Pipes, 1500 Walnut St. 1050, Philadelphia, PA., 19102, who is its Director. Sourcewatch has an extensive directory on Pipes. It identifies Pipes as “a neoconservative, orientalist, extreme right-wing Zionist (who) often expresses islamophobic
statements.” He holds many key positions. Sourcewatch says that Pipes’ “columns have appeared in the Atlantic Monthly, Commentary, Foreign Affairs, Harper's, National Review, New Republic, Policy Review, FrontPage, Jerusalem Post and The Weekly Standard.”2 One (of many) controversial articles which he wrote, Why the Japanese internment still matters, was challenged by historian Juan Cole, presently still a professor at the University of Michigan (see below).

The Middle East Forum 'Mission Statement' says: “The Middle East Forum, a think tank, works to define and promote American interests in the Middle East through research, publications, and educational outreach. The Forum's policy recommendations include fighting radical Islam (rather than terrorism), convincing the Palestinians that Israel is permanent, reducing funds going to the Middle East for energy purchases, slowing down the democratization process, and more robustly asserting U.S. interests vis-à-vis Saudi Arabia. In addition, the Forum works to improve Middle East
studies in North America.”

In case the above rhetoric is not clear, here is a clear gvnews-quoted statement by Mr. Pipes which I found in the MediaChannel archives:

"West European societies are unprepared for the dmassive immigration of brown-skinned peoples cooking strange foods and not exactly maintaining Germanic standards of hygiene."

The Middle East Forum / Daniel Pipes publishes The Middle East Intelligence Bulletin. The MEIB Editor is, according to its website, Gary C. Gambill, who also writes for the Jamestown Foundation. This Foundation is “increasingly linked to neocon-driven institutions and leading figures, including the Center for Security Policy and Freedom House.” Two other Jamestown
Foundation writers are also editors of MEIB: Thomas Patrick Carroll, and Robert G. Rabil. Rabil is an adjunct scholar (as is Daniel Pipes) at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy and assistant professor of Middle East studies in Florida Atlantic University’s Department of Political Science. Michael Rubin is also an editorial board member, whom Karen Kwiatkowski called a “minor-league neoconservative … indeed a rookie.”

The Middle East Forum also publishes The Middle East Quarterly. The editor of Middle East Quarterly since 2004 is (again) Michael Rubin. Rubin was a member of the Coalition Provisional Authority (2003-4) in Iraq and a resident scholar at the PNAC-heavy American Enterprise Institute. He denies allegations that he was a member of the Lincoln Group’s Pentagon-sponsored propaganda inside Iraq. Rubin was recently an active opponent to Juan Cole’s appointment at Yale University. Further information on Mr. Rubin can be found on Right Web.

Mr. Rubin is ALSO the editor of Campus Watch. (Daniel Pipes is also the Director and co-founder of Campus Watch.) The box at the top of the Campus Watch website says (in bold type):

"Campus Watch is the Trojan horse whose warriors are already changing the rules of the game not only in Middle East Studies but also in the US University as a whole. They threaten to undermine the very foundations of American education." Miriam Cooke, of Duke University.

The Mission Statement of Campus Watch says, “Campus Watch, a project of the Middle East Forum, reviews and critiques Middle East studies in North America, with an aim to improving them. The project mainly addresses
five problems: analytical failures, the mixing of politics with scholarship, intolerance of alternative views, apologetics, and the abuse of power over
students. Campus Watch fully respects the freedom of speech of those it debates while insisting on its own freedom to comment on their words and deeds.” There is a survey of 44 ‘institutions’ (colleges/universities) and their scholars. Campus Watch is supported by unspecified ‘donations.’

There have been critics of Campus Watch, and these are answered in “Replies to our Critics,” specifically on the charge of ‘McCarthyism.’

Campus Watch publishes articles that have appeared in PipeLineNews. The unsigned attack on "Dr. Wahid" and the BRussels Tribunal appeared in PipeLineNews.

PipeLineNews is registered as The registrant of this site is named as William Mayer, 2395 Lake Meadow Circle, Martinez, CA 94553, whilst the administrative address given is PIpeLineMedia, Inc.; William Mayer, CEO, 3217 Whipple Road, Union City, CA 94587. If one then looks up PipeLineMedia, a new address appears – 123 K Street, Washington, D.C. alongside the same administrative office address as pipebombnews.

Mr. Mayer published an article, McCarthyism — The Right's Badge of Honor (05.03), in Tysknews.3 Tysknews talks about the owner, or “His Majesty,” as being responsible for the site. “We guarantee no accuracy for our allegations and assume no responsibility.” We are not told who the owner, or ‘His Majesty,’ is. There are three links to R. Reagan sites and one to The Federalist.

Mr. Mayer has also published Some Final Thoughts on the Dubai Ports Deal in the Militant Islam Monitor.

“BR,” or Beila Rabinowitz is the registrant name for Militant Islam Monitor. The address given is a P.O. Box number in Peoria, Illinois 60612.4

Daniel Pipes describes what the site is about:

"Militant Islam is a Utopian ideology … that attracts only a portion of Muslims, … (and) seeks to gain control of governments, and is nakedly aggressive toward all those who stand in it' (sic) way…”

Beila Rabinowitz collaborated with Mr. Mayer in two PipeLine articles which were republished in Campus-Watch.5

Beila Rabinowitz also collaborated with Mr. Mayer in a PipeLineNews story, "Moderate" American Islamism And Terror, Zero Degrees Of Separation (12.12.05. This story was republished on free This “Hoo-Yah” site, which describes itself as the “Premier Conservative news Forum”, is privately owned and run by Jim Robinson from Fresno, California. The administrative, technical and billing contact is Robinson-DeFehr Consulting, also in Fresno. Their ‘Mission’ is: “pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and pro-America.” Subscribers are called ‘Freepers.’ A lively essay on Mr. Robinson’s site can be read at Flakmag.

Beila Rabinowitz’s University Of Central Florida Funding Islamist Da'wa Event (08.03.06) was also published in PipeLine News. Rabinowitz’s articles also
appear on Discover the Networks (see below). Rabinowitz’s article entitled False Front, co-authored with Joe Kaufman, appeared in
“Essentially,” they said of Islamic radicals, “they needed to disguise their reality” (my italics). Mr. Kaufman is Chairman of Americans Against Hate.

‘Americans Against Hate’ is “a civil rights organization and terrorism watchdog group.” Their goal is “to be an active voice against those that spread bigotry and violence.” Many articles by Mr. Kaufman can be seen at this site. Mr. Kaufman also contributes to FrontPage Magazine, the Middle East Quarterly, the Des Moines Register, and The Miami Herald. He appears
on Fox News.

FrontPageMagazine is published by David Horowitz. He is the founder of The Center for the Study of Popular Culture. The mission of this organization, according to media transparency, is to "change the leftist, anti-American, elitist culture that is dominant in the entertainment industry [and to expose] the idiocies and the viciousness of the radical leftism in universities, the media, mainstream churches, and everywhere else this modern plague is found."

Horowitz and Peter Collier (see below) "also created a project of the CSPC called the Committee on Media Integrity (COMINT), designed specifically to attack Public Television.”

Recently, according to Media Matters, David Horowitz called Ann Coulter "a national treasure" and stated that the "point" of Coulter's controversial remarks on the widows of the victims of the 9-11 terrorist attacks was "right on the mark." Coulter worked at the Scaife-funded Centre for Individual Rights. Scaife is also a funder for the Center for the Study of Popular
Culture (see below).

The senior editor of Front Page is Jacob Laksin, who is also a writer for the Centre for the Study of Popular Culture.

Max Blumenthal wrote in The Demons of David Horowitz that “Since David Horowitz switched his political allegiance from the radical left to the authoritarian right, he has engaged in one embarrassingly paranoid crusade after another. Each one is designed to stifle a liberal conspiracy which exists only in the hollow canyons of his own mind.”

Horowitz also writes for NewsMax, is associated with Campus Watch, and appears on Fox News as an ‘analyst.’

Discover the Networks, which has similar witch-hunts to Campus Watch, was co-founded in 2004 by David Horowitz and Peter Collier. Collier was the founding publisher of Encounter Books. He and Horowitz co-authored, amongst other books, The Anti-Chomsky Reader. Collier, according to Media Transparency, “now (2005) runs the Bradley-funded Encounter for Culture and Education, which publishes right wing books by people such as William Kristol.”

A ferris wheel of the ‘Networks’ topics is shown, highlighting

1) Issues: anti-americanism, anti-semitism, globalization, Guantanamo, immigration, Iraq war, Islam and Socialist Left, Patriot Act, treason, etc. This section is essential reading in order to understand the skewed mind-set of Mr. Horowitz and his colleagues.

2) Individuals6: photographs of, amongst others, show: Ramsey Clark,
Ted Kennedy, Fidel Castro, N. Chomsky, George Soros, Jesse Jackson, Dan Rather, Jimmy Carter, Erica Jong, etc.7 Have a look.

3) Academia: anti-semitism and left-wing bias in academia, etc.

4) Media: “Conservatives believe the mass media, predominantly television news programs, slant reports in favor of the liberal position on issues. Most
Americans agree.”8 David Limbaugh wrote an article entitled: MSM Never Tires of Antiwar Propaganda. Glazov penned The Media's Lies About Israel.

5) Funders: “examines the immensely wealthy charitable foundations that provide financial backing for leftist groups and causes.”

Horowitz is the author of Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left, and also of The Professors: The 101 Most Dangerous Academics in
America. “His critics have said the book is akin to a McCarthy-like smear campaign” wrote M.B. Marklein.

The above is an abbreviated summary of the large Middle East Forum network. See the full extent of the Daniel Pipes network here.

Who is funding these people who talk about “freedom of speech,” the “abuse of power over students” and the “intolerance of alternative views” whilst
simultaneously slandering and falsely accusing reputable individuals and organizations? The hierarchy resembles the Sicilian Mafia, who ‘protect their own.’

According to Media Transparency, the following have received money. Details are given below.

Haditha 'massacre' - one year on

19.11.06. D. Loyn, BBC. Women and children died in the attack in Haditha. The anniversary of the killings in Haditha - the worst single massacre of Iraqis attributed to US troops - could not have come at a worse time for the US forces, with other cases now reaching conclusions in the courts, including one that ended in a life sentence.

Marines likely to face charges in Haditha killings, congressman says

06.12.06. Financial Times. A congressman said Wednesday that about six Marines would be charged in the killing of 24 civilians, many of them women and children, last year in the Iraqi town of Haditha.

U.S., Iraqi troops seal off Haditha - residents

08.12.06. Reuters. ‘The U.S. military said troops were manning checkpoints and building a sand berm to crack down on insurgents in Haditha and in neighbouring Barwana. It said U.S. troops were protecting "the population and good citizens of Haditha".

But residents in Haditha, which is at the centre of a U.S. military investigation into the deaths of two dozen civilians in November 2005 by U.S. Marines, said electricity has been cut off and that no food is being
allowed into the city, they said.’

U.S. military to announce Haditha charges Thursday

18.12.06. Reuters. The U.S. military plans to charge Marines in the killing of 24 civilians in Haditha, Iraq, on Thursday, according to sources familiar with
the case. The November 2005 killings, which enraged Iraqis, are one of a series of cases in which U.S. service members have been accused, and some convicted, of being involved in killing Iraqi civilians. The charges in the Haditha case could include murder and are expected against at least five Marines, defense officials said.

Haditha Residents on Charged Marines: Let Us Have Them

22.12.06. NY Times. Dr. Waleed Al-Obeidi, 41, the director-general of Haditha hospital said: “If they plan to implement justice, then we welcome this step to refer the eight marines to the court, but we have our doubts in American justice. The verdict will be life sentences for four of them and the other four will be released, according to what we heard in the media. They blamed one soldier in the killing of a whole family, while it was carnage. The Iraqi government should have summoned those soldiers and
executed them.” (cont …)

Human Rights Advocates Not Satisfied with Haditha Charges

22.12.06. A. Glantz. “"Not one of the victims' families is represented," he added. "No lawyer from the victims' families is represented. So you can see
the basic idea of justice and fairness is actually not available."

Dr. Salam Ismael says many Iraqis would like to see the American soldiers brought to trial in Iraqi courts--a position shared by the country's elected prime minister Nouri al-Maliki, who has demanded an end to the immunity U.S. soldiers currently enjoy under Iraqi law.

"Why are you afraid of being ruled by the law of the country that you're supposedly trying to liberate?" he asked rhetorically. "That's the question--it's a simple question I would like to ask the American people."

International human rights groups have a different concern. They note that since the September 11th attacks five years ago, no officer above the rank of
major has been charged in connection with torture or the abuse of detainees in U.S. custody.”

Haditha charges raise questions

23.12.06. Boston Herald editorial. “The lodging of criminal charges against eight Marines in connection with the killing of 24 Iraqi civilians 13 months ago is a sad and absolutely necessary duty for the Marine Corps.

The charging of four officers with dereliction of duty for failure to report what they knew or failure to investigate - in effect, a coverup of what happened in three Haditha homes - is particularly important. It represents a re-affirmation of the important principle of an officer’s responsibility for what troops under his command do, something the armed forces have not
always pursued with rigor in recent years.”

Viewpoint: Breaking Haditha

23.12.06. T. McGirk, Time. "During the months after the Haditha story broke, I became the target of bloggers, self-proclaimed patriots, for supposedly dragging the fine reputation of the Marines through the mud. Nothing about this story made me feel good save for one thing: until TIME's investigation, one of the Marines — the squad leader, Staff Sgt. Frank
Wuterich — was in line to receive a medal for heroism for what he did that terrible day. According to press reports, the recommenda tion says that Wuterich, 26, displayed "calm and confident decisiveness that day and doubtlessly prevented further injury or death to fellow Marines and innocent civilians." Today, Wuterich faces 13 counts of unpremeditated murder.
None of his victims were armed; most were the elderly, women and children."

Haditha: The Mai Lai of Iraq

In spite of all the evidence in The Haditha Doctor and the Media Dissemblers about media who accept vast sums of money from foundations to perpetrate their cover-up P.R., the “right wing” media is still trying to twist the Haditha facts.
